Vardenafil (Levitra) is an erectile dysfunction medication, which was developed by the pharmaceutical companies, Bayer pharmaceuticals, Schering-Plough and GlaxoSmithKline. It is classified as a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor (PDE5) as it inhibits the degradative action of PDE5 and thereby brings about its therapeutic action.
Erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence, is a male sexual disorder that is characterised by the difficulty of attaining or maintaining an erection for sexual intercourse. Research suggests that ED may be one of the most common forms of sexual disorders that affect men.
A 2018 medical review reported that this dysfunction affects at least one third of the male population, furthermore an additional review (2019) revealed that ED may have a global prevalence which may go up to 76.5%.
For many people, the symptoms of ED can be further worsened by certain lifestyle choices. These can include obesity, smoking, alcohol and stress. With this disorder being as common as it is, it is surprising that only an estimated 25% of men actually seek treatment.
Vardenafil 20 mg is an FDA approved treatment that has been shown to help men get an erection to successfully manage this disorder in over 80% of cases. It can also be purchased easily through secure online pharmacies.
This medication is available in 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg dosages, and can be found as round, orange tablets.
What is Vardenafil Used For?
The primary function of these tablets is for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved these pills for medical use in 2003.
ED is often a secondary reaction to a fundamental physical cause, but it can be also linked to specific psychological issues as well. Psychological issues typically represent 10% to 20% of all cases of this disorder, which frequently stem from childhood trauma.
Apart from being used for ED, these pills are also effective for premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation (PE) is also classified as a sexual disorder and occurs when a man experiences an orgasm, during sexual activity and ejaculates shortly after penetration, with very minimal penile stimulation.
The average ejaculatory latency for a man is about 4 to 8 minutes, men with PE have reported to ejaculate within 15 to 60 seconds after sexual stimulation. The causes of premature ejaculation are not well documented, but it has been indicated that this dysfunction can be physical or psychological as well as have a genetic link.
This treatment boasts a high efficacy rate. This is unpacked further below:
This therapeutic works by increasing blood flow to the penis. It is effective for impotence and premature ejaculation, and has been revealed to be at least ten times more potent than sildenafil (a similar medication used for erectile dysfunction treatments).
This increased potency allows for the administration of a lower vardenafil dosage, as well as a reduced risk of side effects. There were also fewer vardenafil side effects reported, as when compared to sildenafil.
A clinical study conducted by Martin Morales et al. (2009) evaluated the safety and efficacy of this therapeutic in men who were using other medications for the management of cardiovascular and metabolic conditions. The researchers involved in this study reported that this medication demonstrated favourable safety and efficacy for men not only with ED, but also for men with underlying conditions, such as diabetes, dyslipidemia (abnormal levels of cholesterol or fats in the blood) and hypertension.
The clinical study data further indicated that using medications for the treatments of said conditions, concomitantly with vardenafil tablets, did not have any negative implications on the safety and efficacy of the sexual dysfunction therapeutic.
Administration of this medication alone is not enough to achieve an erection, sexual stimulation is a pre-requisite. When taken an hour prior to sexual activity, this therapeutic is able to help men get an erection that is viable for intercourse, and allows them to be responsive to sexual stimuli for at least seven hours after administration (not a continuous erection). This is why the medication is considered to be amongst the best erectile dysfunction pills on the market.
Is Vardenafil The Same As Levitra?
Vardenafil tablets were co-marketed under the trade name, Levitra, by Bayer pharmaceuticals and other pharmaceutical companies. As of 2005, the co-promotion rights of this brand were returned to Bayer pharmaceuticals by the company, GlaxoSmithKline, in several markets outside of the United States.
This medication for erectile dysfunction is branded, by Bayer pharmaceuticals, as Levitra in the U.S but GlaxoSmithKline markets this therapeutic as Vivanza in Italy. Regardless of branded versions, generics after the active ingredient have the same composition and are bioequivalent in nature.
The differences between branded and generic medications are not considered to affect the efficacy of the therapeutic as they contain the same active ingredient. In fact, in 2019 it was estimated that only 10% of prescriptions were for branded pharmaceuticals, whilst the remaining prescriptions were filled for unbranded medications.
Generic medicines work just as effectively as their original counterparts, as the same set of FDA standards which apply to branded tablets, apply to the generic medicines as well.
Levitra, for instance, is a leading brand known to help men get an erection and keep an erection for sexual intercourse. The generic equivalents (known as vardenafil generics, after the active ingredient) are equally effective, have the same composition, but are cheaper.
Online sales have increased dramatically over the past few decades and this includes the sale of pharmaceuticals as well. Convenience and ease are not the only reasons for consumers using this method of buying medications, such as erectile dysfunction treatments, but also the degree of privacy that is offered when using e-commerce platforms like ours.
For many, the anxiety and embarrassment of discussing sensitive issues, like erectile dysfunction, can deter one from seeking treatment. However, with the use of safe, online pharmacies, this issue does not have to stand in the way of one acquiring this therapeutic.
A lack of knowledge is also one of the reasons that prevent men from seeking treatment for these sexual disorders. Online pharmacies are a source of vital information regarding these conditions and the medications which treat them. You can acquire the information you need by simply asking questions, such as: How does vardenafil work? ...or… What are the ingredients of this medication, and so on? FAQ sections should normally also address these common queries.
Quality ED pills help men get an erection effectively, without many or any side effects. Buying medications online allow men to get the treatment they require without having to endure the shame and embarrassment associated with this sexual disorder.

Great post! I totally agree with this points made - personally I prefer this medication due to its low 20 mg dosage and extremely mild side effects.

Hello John, I tried this medication on a recent weekend away with my girlfriend. It lasted the full 36 hours that your blog alludes too and the weekend couldn't have gone any better. Much appreciated Alex Grant
